The world we live in gives us the idea that we have to strive to perfection to achieve happiness. But happiness is a journey, not a destination. So here are the little things that help me achieve happiness every single day.
Put on your favorite music. There is no better way than music to boost your brain. When you feel uninspired, tired or sad, music can change your state of mind. For me music is a daily essential. It wakes me up in the mornings, gets me motivated to work out, increases my energy level and makes me relax at night before I go to bed. It brings you pure joy.
Clean the clutter. Clutter is an absolute mood killer for me. Look around you, find the things that are out of place and put them back where they belong. A clear space immediately gives you a calm and happy environment. And cleaning with some music on might even go so fast you feel like Mary freakin’ Poppins.
Spread the love. Give someone a compliment. Tell someone how grateful you are to have them around. Help a stranger. Or just smile. It might be a little uncomfortable at first. But there is nothing more rewarding than making someone’s day with some kindness. Be the change you want to see in the world.
Get out there: Take a walk, get out there and explore. Nowadays we are all clustered to our electronics, but we forget about what’s really around us. Going for a walk instantly makes me feel better. It clears my mind and makes me appreciative of the world we live in. Going for a walk makes you see the beauty around you. Sunshine on your face or wind through your hair, a cute old couple that’s crazy in love or kids building a snowman,… I can keep going, but I think you get my point. Enjoy the little things!
Dance it out. Last but not least. Especially for all you Grey’s Anatomy lovers out there. Simple and effective. Just stop overthinking, turn up the music and bust a move. Sometimes the best you can do is “Shut up and dance it out!”.

When it comes to working out everybody has a different starting point and goal. But everybody needs to get motivated to work towards their personal goal. For me my goal is to obtain a healthy body that will take me on many adventures for the rest of my life. Every accomplishment starts with a decision to try.
My workout partner is my Spotify playlist. Music has the power to affect your emotions and give you the edge to push yourself further in your workout. So my workout playlist contains upbeat songs that will get you moving and songs with inspirational lyrics that reaffirm your belief in achieving your personal goal.
Remember to wake up with determination and go to bed with satisfaction.

Ever since my first visit to Scandinavia I have been in love. The nature, the culture, the people and the way of living, they left an incredibly strong impression on me.
All my life I’ve been raised by my parents that are true wanderers. With our camping car we travelled all over Europe. The most important part of our travels took place in nature. That’s where I got my passion for the outdoors. Scandinavia has endless nature, where you can keep on discovering forgotten places. But since I was old enough to travel on my own, my friends and I took every opportunity we got to travel. We made many city trips, and one of those was Copenhagen. I knew from then on that not only Scandinavia’s nature caught my eye, but also its culture. The colorful houses, the fashion, the design and the super friendly people, you immediately feel at home.
So when I received an email from Belmodo saying I was the winner of their SAS-airlines competition, I was so excited! A new opportunity to discover a Scandinavian city. Thank you so much to Belmodo for this beautiful gift!
Stockholm city is an idyllic destination. Because of all the water it’s called “Venice of the North”. The beautiful colorful architecture brings light to the city. Stockholm has something to offer for every wandering girl.
If you love Scandinavian fashion, than you are in the right place. Scandinavian brands like Acne, Cos, Vila have their own stores in Stockholm. The Södermalm district offers countless vintage stores, Swedish fashion and design stores in combination with an abundance of places to eat and drink. Lifestyle heaven.
Green Djürgarden is the perfect district to stroll around close to the city center. But if you have more time (or better weather) the archipelago of Stockholm is the perfect spot for outdoors lovers like me. In Stockholm you’re just a boat trip away from the Swedish outdoors.
Stockholm is the perfect city for a getaway. It’s a city where you can breathe and just enjoy every moment. When I came home I felt more alive and inspired than ever before.
